Transfer of Credits

Transferring students will need to authorize a formal transcript from their previous school to be sent to AVI Career Training. AVI Career Training accepts transfers from DPOR approved and accredited institutions only.
Students wishing to transfer from one AVI Career Training program to another need to withdraw from their initial program and enroll in the new program. Students must pay their balance in full in order for their completion documents to be released. Transferability of hours/ credit to other institutes is at the discretion of the new school.

Transferred hours to AVI Career Training are accepted under the following conditions:

  • The former school must be licensed by the appropriate state licensing entity while the student is enrolled. The schools’ current curriculum must be approved by that entity.
  • The hours earned at the originating school must have been earned no more than two years prior to enrolling in the new school.
  • The former school must be accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Students are only awarded credit for prior training in a school based on transcripts. AVI Career Training has a Board approved assessment exam prior to awarding any credit.
  • AVI will not award more hours towards a topic then were given to obtain credit in their prior training.
  • AVI will not award more hours towards a topic than allowed under their current curriculum.
